October 30th WFMS Family Message

Good afternoon WFMS families,

Upcoming Workdays and Holidays

This Friday, November 4th and Tuesday, November 8th are teacher workdays for traditional calendar schools.  Thursday, November 10th is an early release and school will dismiss at 12:15 for students.  Friday, November 11th is Veteran’s Day holiday and there is no school.

Halloween Costumes

Students are expected to adhere to the school’s dress code on Monday, October 31st as they do each day, and are not allowed to wear Halloween costumes or masks.  If a student wears a costume, families will be contacted to bring clothes for them to change into.

Students should also not bring bags of candy to school next week to hand out to friends or eat on campus.

Afternoon Check-Out & Dismissal

Please remember we do not allow check-out for students after 1:45pm as this impacts our afternoon dismissal procedures.  We ask for your assistance in this matter that if you need to check your student out, it be done prior to 1:45pm.

Outside Vendor Food

Outside food and beverages from vendors should not be sent to the school by delivery drivers or brought by families.  If your student forgets their lunch, families can bring money for students to purchase a lunch or bring a packed lunch from home.  We appreciate your assistance in supporting us in this matter.

Spirit Week

With the upcoming game against River Bend on November 9th and days out of school during that week, we will have a “Spirit Week” starting this Thursday and Friday and then the following week on the days we are in school.  We encourage students and staff to participate in the days listed below.  Please remember the WCPSS Student Dress Code should still be followed for all outfits when participating in Spirit Week.
