April 17th WFMS Family Message

Spring Sports and Game Attendance

Spring sports are in full swing.  We want to take this opportunity to remind our students and families of our athletics policy for the 21-22 school year.  All students attending the game must have an adult present with them.  If an adult is not attending the game with a student, the student will not be granted access to the game and an adult will be called to pick them up.  We appreciate your assistance with this.

Parent Panorama Survey

The 2022 Parent Panorama Survey for WCPSS and WFMS is available for families, if they wish to complete it.  Please visit THIS LINK to complete the survey.  Thank you.

Please mark your calendars for our final spirit night for the 21-22 school year, which will be held on May 19th.  Thank you for your support.

8th Grade End of Year Celebration

Our 8th grade students will participate in Field Day/End of Year Celebration during the school day on Wednesday, June 8th.  Details will be provided in the coming weeks.  Our Field Day/End of Year Celebration will be a fun event to celebrate all of our 8th grade students and their accomplishments in lieu of the traditional “Moving Up” ceremony.

2022-23 Student Intent

As we begin preparations for the 22-23 school year, we need the help of our WFMS families.  We recognize the summer months are often transition times for families who are relocating and may be changing schools.  If you know your student will not be attending WFMS next year, please take a moment to visit the below and share the information for your student.  If you have questions, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Hughes ( or Mrs. Harmon (

Morning Carpool

We ask all morning carpool families to remember to follow the morning carpool procedures and protocols when entering and while on campus.  This includes NOT dropping your student off on Main Street or in the bus lot for them to walk to the building.  This is unsafe for your student and delays traffic on Main Street and for our buses.

Students Visiting Local Businesses After School

We have received phone calls recently from businesses nearby WFMS, including The Factory, retail stores, and restaurants regarding student behavior after they leave school at 2:15 each day.  If your student is visiting these establishments after school, please speak with them regarding appropriate behavior and respect to others.  If they are in violation of the expectations these businesses have, they may be asked to leave or Wake Forest PD may be contacted.
