Principal Peckham's Weekly Message
Greetings Martin Middle School families!
It was wonderful having a full five day week last week and to get everyone established back into their routines and schedules. I hope all our families enjoyed some fun and family time this weekend and are ready to continue this awesome start to the school year all the way through September.
Parent Portal account info coming home this week!
Parents who signed up for Parent Portal access will have their account passwords and log-in information will be sent home Tuesday with students. Be sure to check your student's bookbag!
7th Grade Families- Immunization reminders coming home Monday!
We have run preliminary immunization compliance reports for all of our 7th grade students. If we do not have a record or copy of updated immunizations for your student, we will be sending home a letter in bookbags with what is needed on Monday. Please plan to check bookbags Monday afternoon and feel free to call our Student Services Office if you have additional questions.
Tuesday, Sept.17: Fall Sport Pictures ; Art club Interest meeting
Friday, Sept. 20: School Dance 6:30-8:30--- 7th and 8th grade students are invited to attend. The cost is $5 and the concession stand will be open with some snacks and refreshments. We encourage all students to bring small bills as we typically have high attendance, and having change can sometimes be an issue. Students planning to attend the dance should be dropped off and picked at the carpool entrance near the gym. We encourage all parents to plan for pick-up promptly at 8:30, as it is a full day for staff and students. School dress code and behavioral expectations continue to apply for this after school event and we hope to see all of our 7th and 8th graders at the dance!
Wednesday, Sept. 25th: 6th Grade Mixer
6th grade families- Don’t feel left out! Your students will have a 6th grade only social event the following week (Sept.25th) from 2:30-4:30 . This event will include games and other activities run by our Student Council. Cost to cover the event and snacks is $5 and students will need to make sure they are registered by Tuesday, Sept. 24th so that we have enough materials. More information and forms to register can be found on the 6th grade website linked:
That conclude my udates and reminders for this week. I hope you all have a great night, and we'll see you bright and early tomorrow!
