Principal Peckham's Weekly Message

Greetings Martin Middle School families!

I hope your August is off to a great start and that your student is starting to get excited for the school year to begin!

Below are a few reminders and updates for next week.

Reminders/Information:

First, a reminder that next Wednesday, August 14th- 8th grade students will be able to see finalized versions of their schedules via powerschools. For any students who would prefer a hard copy of this schedule, or who have trouble accessing it via powerschool, you can swing by the school Wednesday morning from 8-10.  Though there will be no teachers here on the 14th, the building will be open that morning if students want to locate their homeroom or walk their schedule.

6th & 7th Grade students, we look forward to seeing you during your designated times on Friday, August 23rd.

Optional Footbal Workouts!

The optional football workouts originally scheduled for next week are cancelled. If you have an athlete that was hoping to attend next week, please know that they will resume August  20th & 22nd---- 6:30-7:45pm. on the Martin Softball field.

Fall Sports Info:

For all our families with hopeful fall athletes, this is another reminder about getting updated sports physicals. If you have had a physical recently, please double check those dates to make sure they will be good for the fall sports window. For a copy of the Athletics Form you can visit the parent link on our website, or use the link provided below:

Fall Sports Parent Meeting:

Any parents who have a 7th or 8th grader who may be interested in playing a Fall sport (cheerleading, football, girls soccer or girls volleyball) please plan to join us August 21st at 6pm. in the auditorium. Coach Basaldu will be presenting key information, taking questions, and introducing the fall coaches.

That concludes my message for the week. Have a fantastic weekend!

Yours,

Lacey Peckham, Principal
