Technology Student Association (TSA) Attends 1st State Conference
The Heritage Middle TSA chapter attended the NC State Conference for the first time and earned several trophies. Teams competed in several events. Essence Howard, Dylan Maddox, Bennett Moore, and Shemiah Nnanna fought hard in Catapult Design. Olivia Dyjewski and Jonathan Cloud worked hard in problem solving. Jaxon Todaro and Holden Pierce constructed truss designs through the night on Structural Model/Bridge Challenge (earning 4th place in the state). Charlie Weeks, Nisseem Seliman, and Christian Dotson competed in Inventions & Innovations (earning 4th place in the state). Preston Cockrell, Aidan Dattada, Owen Geyer, and Gunnar Vogt worked hard on creating a video game and earned 5th place in the state.
Gavin Weidner and Quintin Piscitello worked as a team in Technical Design, earning a 3rd Place trophy. Christian Dotson's essay on drone technology brought home a 2nd place trophy in Essays on Technology. Connor Powell and his dragster earned a 3rd place trophy in CO2 Dragster. Gavin Weidner raced his dragster all the way to a 1st place trophy in CO2 Dragster. It is rare for one school to take two trophies in dragster
