Principal's Weekly Message 10-11
Hello this is Kathryn Hutchinson, principal at Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School, calling with your weekly message. This message can be found on our website.
We hope you found some rest this past week. I also encourage you to view our Staff Flipgrid that was made to celebrate the JOY our students have brought to us this first quarter of school this year.
Our newly appointed Student Council has kicked off their first task and that is offering our first Virtual Spirit Week of the year. Tomorrow, Monday is Unity Day. Wear Red or our school colors! Remember that we are ALL a part of this Pack in our Den. The rest of the week’s spirit days are listed on our website. Student council will also be making announcements in advisory all week.
Our Quarter 2 material distribution day will be this Friday, from 8:00-11:00. 6th grade families are encouraged to come from 8:00-9:00, 7th grade families are encouraged to come from 9:00-10:00, and 8th grade families are encouraged to come from 10:00-11:00.
Please write your child’s name in large print on a full-size piece of paper with their grade level and place it on the front dashboard of the passenger seat.
Our staff is preparing for a fun day. Each team will be participating in a costume contest and students get to vote for the best dressed! When students complete their attendance in advisory on Friday, they can vote. We also will be looking for our student superheroes in the carpool lane. Pictures will be taken and might find their way into our yearbook.
We look forward to seeing all of our students on Friday.
Please know that our PTSA is selling out their limited Spirit wear. You can pay online, and you can make arrangements to pick up the spirit wear on our material pick up day. Please visit the PTSA website to view what is selling. www.ccmmsptsa.com
This Friday is also our scheduled Remote Learning asynchronous day for this week. Our students will need to sign-in to their advisory class to take attendance. Otherwise, we encourage our students to review each class and complete any missing work for the first quarter of school.
Our team is working to create a safe space for our students that will be returning to the building next month. I will continue to communicate with you all as we prepare for this transition. In the meantime, continue to work with your students on some of those things that are important to keep us all safe. Healthy practices such as washing hands often, maintaining social distance with others while in public and wearing a mask. These practices will help our students who return to become more comfortable.
Thank you for your continual support of Centennial Campus Magnet where we H.O.W.L. with Red Wolf Pride. Have a great week. Stay well and stay safe.
