Principal Mid Week Special Message
Hello this is Kathryn Hutchinson, Principal of Centennial Campus Magnet calling with a special mid-week message. This message can be found on our website.
I want to again express my gratitude to our students who have worked so hard this last quarter and to our families that have supported our community throughout the year.
Today is the last day of school for Centennial Campus. Our staff has put together a final FlipGrid, which is a collection of video messages we offer to our students as an end of year send off. We encourage you to share this with your students. It is important for you all to know, that your students are so very important to our community. We are grateful that you have shared their lives with us. And our entire staff wishes you all well as you go into the summer.
With district guidelines, we will be offering a time for you to pick up any items your students might have left in their lockers. Everything is packed up and will be ready at the front office beginning next Tuesday, May 26th.
May 26th through May 29th, you may stop by our school to pick up these materials. We ask that you maintain all health and safety guidelines provided by the state. Maintain social distancing as well if there is a line.
Our office will be open from 7:00 to 2:00 each of those days for you to come by. We also will have a box for you to drop off any library books or any other items belonging to teachers. We ask that you follow our procedures in order to keep everyone safe in the process.
It is important to come this next week only as materials will not be stored much longer. As we have shared before, we feel grateful that students were to clear out their lockers before track out so the number of items are limited.
We are patiently waiting news on our yearbooks. We understand due to current conditions, there is a delay in the delivery. As soon as we hear information, we will share with our families about opportunities to pick up the yearbook. In the meantime, the company can still sell the extra yearbooks that have been produced already. Please see our website if you are interested in purchasing a book.
Please make note that lunch service will continue even for our students while Wake County Public Schools are offering this service. New locations are continually being added. You can find more information at the WCPSS website.
As our team is already looking closely at safety guidelines and making plans for how we will safely come back together again for learning next year, I would like to wish you all a restful summer. We hope you find peace and positive time together with those important to you. Be safe and be well Red Wolf community.
Thank you for your support of Centennial Campus Magnet where we H.O.W.L. with Red Wolf Pride and have a safe summer.
