Principal's Weekly Message 3-10
Hello this is Kathryn Hutchinson principal at Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School calling with your weekly message. This message can be found on our website.
This week our Select Choir performed with schools from across Wake County in the United Arts Council Pieces of Gold event. We are proud of our students. The next opportunity to hear this group will be at the Durham Bulls baseball game on April 14th when they will sing the National Anthem.
Thank you to our parents who helped make contacts or came to support the Career Fair. We are grateful to your commitment in helping our young leaders visually see different future opportunities. We are also thankful to our PTSA for organizing treats for our staff.
As you move into track out with your students, I want to encourage again to our parents to be mindful of what your students are doing on social media. While they are home, there is a tendency to go to social media to stay connected with their peers. Monitoring this activity is crucial. Staying involved is a great support. We are looking forward to a joint event coming the Thursday after we track back in. A Digital Family Community Event will be on the Thursday, March 28th. Come learn about the latest tools and trends to help you support your student as they grow their understand of appropriate use of technology.
We will track back into school on March 25th. We look forward to seeing everyone then. In the meantime, take time with your families and rest. Our students are being asked to work hard in their learning and a break is welcome.
Thank you for your support of Centennial Campus Magnet where we H.O.W.L. with Red Wolf Pride. Have a great week!
