PSAT 2022 Information
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) measure what you're learning in school, determine if you're on track, and open doors for opportunities to prepare and pay for college.
The PSAT/NMSQT is an optional test. Any interested WHS student may take the PSAT/NMSQT. However, the PSAT/NMSQT contains items with Algebra and some Geometry concepts. Students often perform best when they have been successful in rigorous Math and English coursework. Completion of Math I is strongly encouraged.
Deadline for registration is September 11. Date for the test will be posted later.
While all high school students can register to take the PSAT NMSQT, WCPSS will only pay for 11th grade students who are likely to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. Any other students interested in taking the PSAT can pay the PSAT/NMSQT registration fee to take the assessment ($18.00)
