Principal's Weekly Message - 1/16/2023
Greetings,
This is Ian Solomon, Principal of Leesville Road High School sharing the latest news and upcoming events.
LRHS Driver’s Education Update (repeat)
The Leesville Road High School Driver’s Education Update for January can be found under the Pride News section of our homepage for detailed information.
Martin Luther King Observance (repeat)
There is no school Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Holiday. Students and staff return to school on Tuesday, January 17.
Curriculum Night (repeat)
Our annual Curriculum Night for students in grades 10-12 will be held virtually Thursday, February 2 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Information on how to access this event will be shared later this month.
PRIDE Recognition (repeat)
At the end of each quarter, a list of students who have made it on time for every class will have their names entered into a drawing for a variety of gift cards. The goal of this is to acknowledge students who are demonstrating our PRIDE behaviors by getting to class before the bell rings. Students who already have a tardy 2nd quarter will have two more opportunities to be entered into the drawing at the end of the 3rd and 4th quarters. Thank you to our PTSA who is providing the gift cards for this initiative.
Second Semester Schedules (repeat)
Realizing that some students do not have a full schedule for next semester, counselors will begin working with those students who do not have a full schedule after the winter break to allow time for the master schedule to be finalized. Second semester begins on January 30. Random elective change requests will continue to be kept at a minimum for the second semester.
Fall Exam Schedule (repeat)
The Fall exam schedule is now available for view under the Pride News section of our website.
Thank you for your continued support of Leesville Road High School, where we take PRIDE in everything we do.
