Greetings, Lynn Road Families!  I hope everyone had a great and restful weekend.

Below are a few updates for the coming week.  We look forward to a great week of learning and growing.

Week of December 19th & Winter Break

The week of December 19th is the last week of school before the Winter Break.  Please make sure that you plan accordingly for an Early Release on Wednesday, December 21st and no school on December 22nd and 23rd.  Winter Break will last from Thursday, December 22nd - Monday, January 2nd.  Students will return on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Progress Reports

Your child should bring home their progress report this week.  Please take time to review progress with your child.  Don’t forget that elementary students receive a grade for both conduct and work habits.  “In reporting on conduct, the teacher can indicate whether the student meets expectations in cooperating with others, respecting others, and observing rules and procedures. In reporting on work habits, the teacher can indicate whether the student uses time wisely, listens carefully, completes assignments, writes legibly, works independently, or seeks help when needed, and completes work.”

LRES Pantry Needs

Thank you to all of you that have been able to donate to the Lynn Road Elementary Pantry (LRES Delicious Deli).  Your donations have truly been beneficial and will be utilized to support families in our community.  Please continue to send in donations if you are able.  Our pantry could really use additional:

• toilet paper

• paper towels

• pullups & diapers

• cleaning supplies

Items may be left in the marked bin outside the front office.  Additionally, monetary donations can be made to support the mission of the LRES Delicious Deli.  If you are interested, email lynnroadadvocacy@gmail.com for more information.

Fall Picture Make-Ups

If your child was unable to take their picture in November, please mark your calendar for makeup pictures on December 20th.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2023 - 2024 school year is open.  If you need to register a kindergarten student for next school year, or know someone that does, please go to this link to receive more information regarding the enrollment process and to register your child.

PTA

• PTA Registration - If you have not already registered for the PTA, please do so.  Membership for the 2022-2023 school year is $10 for an individual and $15 for a family (any 2 adults).  Use THIS LINK to complete your registration.
