Greetings, Lynn Road Families!  I’m hopeful that everyone has enjoyed the weekend.  This is our last week of school for the 2022 calendar year.  Though this is a short week, please continue to send your children to school as instruction will continue.

Below are a few updates for the coming week.  We look forward to a great week of learning and growing.

Early Release and Winter Break

Please make sure that you plan accordingly for an Early Release on Wednesday, December 21st.  This will start Winter Break; which will last from December 22nd - January 2nd.  We will return from Winter Break on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Tacky Sweater Day

To help kick off the Winter Break with lots of holiday cheer, students are welcome to join their teachers in wearing a "tacky sweater", or other festive holiday apparel, on Wednesday, December 21st!

PTA

• Staff Favorite Things - Looking for last-minute inspiration for a little something for your child's teacher, or another special LRES staff person, now or in the New Year? Check out staff responses to their "favorite things" survey at this link!

• PTA Registration - If you have not already registered for the PTA, please do so.  Membership for the 2022-2023 school year is $10 for an individual and $15 for a family (any 2 adults).  Use THIS LINK to complete your registration.

• Amazon Smile - You can support our school if you are shopping on Amazon! Go to smile.amazon.com to sign up and set Lynn Road Elementary PTA as your charity!

Fall Picture Make-Ups

If your child was unable to take their picture in November, please mark your calendar for makeup pictures on Tuesday, December 20th.

LRES Pantry Needs

Thank you to all of you that have been able to donate to the Lynn Road Elementary Pantry (LRES Delicious Deli).  Your donations have truly been beneficial and will be utilized to support families in our community.  Please continue to send in donations if you are able.  Our pantry could really use additional:

• toilet paper

• paper towels

• pullups & diapers

• cleaning supplies

Items may be left in the marked bin outside the front office.  Additionally, monetary donations can be made to support the mission of the LRES Delicious Deli.  If you are interested, email lynnroadadvocacy@gmail.com for more information.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2023 - 2024 school year is open.  If you need to register a kindergarten student for next school year, or know someone that does, please go to this link to receive more information regarding the enrollment process and to register your child.
