Greetings, Lynn Road Families! Happy New Year! I’m hopeful that everyone enjoyed the Winter Break. Please don’t forget that there will be no school on Monday, January 2nd. Students will return to the building on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Below are a few updates for the coming week. We look forward to a great week of learning and growing.

End of Quarter 2

The 2nd quarter ends on January 26th. As we return from the Winter Break, take some time to review academic and social progress with your child, and if needed, create a plan with them to end this quarter strong. Report cards for the 2nd quarter will go home on February 6th, and we will have conferences on February 16th.

School Start Time

Don’t forget that the tardy bell rings at 8:30. Students that are not in class at 8:30 are tardy to school. Please arrive by 8:25 to give your child time to transition down the hall and to class before the tardy bell rings.

Excused Absence Letters

If your child is absent for one of the excused absence reasons included in the WCPSS Attendance Policy, make sure that you send a note within two days of your child returning to school. 

Annual Asbestos Notification

It is required that all schools in WCPSS get reinspected for asbestos every 6 months and that they are inspected by an accredited Asbestos Inspector or Management Planner. Inspections have recently been completed, and the district has created a letter to share additional information. Both the English and Spanish letter can be found HERE.

Kindergarten Registration
