Greetings, Lynn Road Families! I hope that everyone enjoyed the weekend. Below are a few updates for the coming week. We look forward to a great week of learning and growing.

Holiday (Monday, January 16th)

School will be closed for the holiday on Monday, January 16th. Please plan accordingly. If you have not already done so, make sure to review the WCPSS Traditional Calendar for future important dates.

PTA General Membership Meeting

Mark your calendar for the next general membership meeting of the LRES PTA on January 26 in the media center. Social will begin at 5p, and the meeting will begin at 5:30p. Come to find out what all our committees have planned for the remainder of the year, and learn how you can connect with us to make it happen! If you haven’t done so already, you can also complete your wcpss volunteer registration before or after the meeting. Being a registered volunteer is required for in-school volunteering and chaperoning field trips!

PTA Volunteers

PTA volunteer coordinators want to hear from you! If you wish to share your information and have not already returned December’s interest form, please complete and send back to school as soon as possible. You can also reach out directly to lynnroadvolunteers@gmail.com to indicate your interest!

Absence Letters

If your child is absent for one of the excused absence reasons included in the WCPSS Attendance Policy, make sure that you send a note within two days of your child returning to school.

End of Quarter 2

The 2nd quarter ends on January 26th. As we return from the Winter Break, take some time to review academic and social progress with your child, and if needed, create a plan with them to end this quarter strong. Report cards for the 2nd quarter will go home on February 6th, and we will have conferences on February 16th.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2023 - 2024 school year is open. If you need to register a kindergarten student for next school year, or know someone that does, please go to this link to receive more information regarding the enrollment process and to register your child.
