Family updates- Oct. 30th, 2022
Greetings, Lynn Road Families! I hope that everyone had a great weekend. This week is the last week of the 1st quarter. Please review progress with your child and your child’s teacher.
Below are a few updates for the coming week. We look forward to a great week of learning and growing.
Friday, November 4th is a Teacher Workday. There will be no school for students on this day. Please make sure that you plan accordingly. If you have not already done so, view the WCPSS Calendar for future Teacher Workdays.
Next Week (Nov 7th - 11th)
Next week is a pretty interesting week for school. Please make sure that you plan appropriately. Below are a few moments in which we will not have students in the building.
Tuesday, November 8th - Teacher Workday & Election Day (Make sure that you vote)
Thursday, November 10th - Early Release (Dismissal is 1p)
Friday, November 11th - Veterans’ Day (No School)
Fall Picture Day is scheduled for November. Please see below for specific Picture Dates for this school year.
Fall Picture Day - Thursday, November 17th
Fall Picture Makeup Day - Tuesday, December 20th
Spring Pictures & Classroom Pictures - Friday, March 3rd
Fall Campus Cleanup
Fall Campus Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, November 19th. We will be working to beautify our campus from 9a - 12p. It would be great to have as many hands as possible for either all or part of that time. More details, and a sign up link, will be shared soon.
School starts at 8:30a. Plan on having your child in the building by 8:25a to give them time to get to class. We currently send out excessive absence letters, but we will start sending out letters for excessive tardies as well. Letters are kept on file and tracked by our school social worker. Additionally, please note that attendance is one of the things looked at when making student retention decisions.
Thanks to everyone that was able to support our PTA fundraiser this school year. We exceeded our goal and raised a total of $19,080! The classes that raised the most are:
PK - Ms. Johnson
K - Ms. Lenster
1st - Ms. Gaskill
2nd - Ms. Monazah
3rd - Ms. Watkins
4th - Ms. Watts
5th - Ms. Privott
