Open houses Jan. 16 & 18 for Catalyst, award-winning STEM program for students with disabilities

Two open house events will be held in January for students and families interested in Catalyst, an award-winning STEM program for students with disabilities.
There will be a virtual open house on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.
An in-person event will be held on Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. at NC State University, Engineering Building 2, 890 Oval Drive, Room 1025.
Eligible students are rising into grades 9-12, take general education courses, including Honors, AP, or Occupational Course of Study, and have a documented disability, including an IEP or 504 Plan.
About Catalyst
A free program that serves high school students with disabilities interested in STEM careers. We provide STEM content and skills, paid STEM Internships in NC State University Research and Engineering Labs, field studies trips, Life 101 skills, and workforce and college-readiness skills. Our goal is to build a diverse, inclusive and innovative STEM workforce!
It is a year-long program, but most students participate for multiple years. Catalyst has won many awards, including winning the MIT InvenTeam Competition. Learn more.
