Free drone flying program offered for neurodiverse 9th and 10th graders

Do you want to learn to fly drones and work toward your FAA 107 Pilot License? Are you in grades 9 or 10 and neurodiverse? Do you attend public school?

 

If so, come join GIST: Connecting Students with Autism to Geographical Information Systems and Technology!

 

This free program will be located at Science House at N.C. State and will begin in January.

 

Students would be asked to commit to the following:

  • Spring Semester 2023: Ten weekly virtual lessons and four in-person Saturday lessons at N.C. State 
  • Summer Semester 2023: One-week summer program at N.C. State
  • Fall Semester 2023: Ten weekly virtual lessons and four in-person Saturday lessons at N.C. State
  • Spring Semester 2024: Ten weekly virtual lessons and four in-person Saturday lessons at N.C. State 
  • Summer Semester 2024: One-week summer program at N.C. State
