Information Regarding Students with IEPs Registering for 2021-2022 Virtual Academy

Extended Content Regional Program Students

  • At this time, parents of students in Extended Content Standards Regional Programs who have registered for Virtual Academy may expect school staff to contact parents to discuss options for learning.
  • Parents of students who have documented medical conditions should provide the information to school staff. An IEP meeting may be necessary to discuss the impact of the medical condition on the child’s learning.
  • Parents who are registered for Virtual Academy should expect to be contacted by school staff to establish an IEP meeting. The meeting should review the student’s IEP, discuss any new information and adjust the IEP if necessary. For students who will be attending Virtual Academy, the IEP team will discuss the IEP and implementation in Virtual Learning.

Occupational Course of Study

  • At this time, parents of students in the Occupational Course of Study who have registered for Virtual Academy may expect school staff to contact parents to discuss options for learning.
  • Parents of students who have documented medical conditions should provide the information to school staff. An IEP meeting may be necessary to discuss the impact of the medical condition on the child’s learning.

General Content Students

Related Services

Related Services will be provided through teletherapy.

 

Teaching Staff

Consistent with other classes in the 2021-2022 Virtual Academy, students will be assigned to Virtual Academy Teachers.

 

Registration

Registration is now closed, but parents who wish to register for the “Wait List” should contact your child’s school.
