Return to Campus Social Stories
Oct. 5, 2020
Social Stories are commonly used tools that can be helpful in supporting student’s learning when assisting with understanding difficult issues.
Read the descriptions of the different levels, then access stories below that would be most appropriate for your child to help guide conversations about the return to school.
- Level 1 Social Stories are intended for students who actively participate in supported reading of literature that has been adapted to student ability. These students likely require direct support for both reading and comprehension with single or errorless response options.
- Level 2 Social Stories are intended for students who read supported literature that has been adapted to student ability. These students likely require minimal support for both reading and comprehension with a choice of three responses.
- Level 3 Social Stories are intended for students who read literature adapted to student ability independently. These students likely do not require support for both reading and comprehension in written or verbal formats.
