It is a season of celebration and preparation at school—our students are accomplishing amazing things and we are so happy to have opportunities for families to join with their classroom communities to acknowledge their growth. Thank you for your support to our teachers and school!

 

As we prepare for the new year, beginning in July, the following three announcements and reminders will help us to be ready together—

 

Intent to Return

 

Please let us know that your student will be returning for the 2025 – 2026 school year by filling out our annual Intent Survey:

Teaching positions are assigned to schools based on each school’s student enrollment in September. So that we may accurately hire faculty members for the upcoming school year, please complete the survey as soon as possible. We are actively planning for the start to school by recruiting amazing teachers to grow our school community and registering new families. This information is important so that we can support and retain excellent faculty and plan for new enrollment decisions.

 

Supply Kits for 2025 – 2026 (Last Day: Friday!)

To help your family be ready for July, the school’s PTA has arranged an extension to the deadline for school supply kits to be available for purchase for the 2025 – 2026 school year. The last day to order is now Friday, June 6 to make sure kits are available in students’ classroom before Meet the Teacher and the first day of school.

 

Annually the PTA partners with “1st Day School Supplies” to create school supply kits for the convenience of families and students for the new year. These kits provide a significant cost savings for families. Families who choose to order school supplies now will receive all expected school supplies for the new year delivered to their child’s classroom before the first day of the year.

 

Meet the Teacher 2025 – 2026

 

Annually, families have an opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and share information that will be helpful to a smooth beginning to the new grade during the Meet the Teacher event. Please mark calendars for this upcoming year’s Meet the Teacher according to your family’s grade and track:

2025 – 2026 Before- and After-School Programs

 

We look forward to continuing our partnership with the NW Cary YMCA for our school’s before-school and after-school care programs. These programs extend the day for students at Alston Ridge and their families by beginning at 7 a.m. and extending until 6 p.m. Registration has opened through the YMCA of the Triangle’s Alston Ridge ES program page for 2025 – 2026:
