Good Morning, this is Jessica Burroughs the Principal of Banks Road with the announcements for the coming weeks.
Week Events:
For the week of September 18th:

The week of the 25th is our second round of dress up days to honor Read-a-Thon and Track 2 that just came back.
- Monday – Having a Ball Reading: Wear your favorite sports gear or sports teams gear
- Tuesday – Twinning for Reading is Winning: Dress like someone else – your teacher, parent, friend etc.

Read-a-Thon:
We are at just over half of our goal. Please support our yearly fundraiser. It is easy and requires just a little bit of reading every night. Every little bit counts! Check out all of our Read-a-thon information.
BYOD:
Please check your child’s Friday folder for the BYOD letter and contract that was sent home. We were a Bring Your Own Device pilot school last year and are moving to BYOD whole school this fall. Please check out our BYOD site: https://sites.google.com/a/wcpss.net/banks-road-byod/important-dates
Carpool and Parking
As a reminder, drop-off in the morning by households must fall-in line with the school rules and district expectations. Parents may park and walk their students into the building or may drop off in carpool line. Parents cannot park and send their students into the building or to the carpool line from the parking lot. Parents are strongly encouraged to drive through carpool and not park and escort into the building unless school business needs to be attended to. Thank you for supporting a safe and orderly morning arrival time.
If you have any questions please call the Front Desk at 919-890-7333.
