Save the Date: Special Education Open House & Resource Fair is Nov. 6

The 9th Annual Special Education Open House will be November 6, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Martin Middle School, 1701 Ridge Road, Raleigh.
This evening provides parents an opportunity to learn about special education services, related services and community resources for students with disabilities.
Co-sponsored by the Wake Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) and WCPSS Special Education Services, the schedule for the event includes:
- 5:30-6:30 - Resource Fair: Connect with WCPSS personnel and community agencies who serve students and adults with disabilities
- 6:30-7 - Welcome address by Kathryn Jones, SEAC chair and Karen Hamilton, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education Services
- 7:00-8:50 - Information Sessions: Parents can choose up to 2 sessions provided by WCPSS Special Education Services staff members on topics related to programs/services, instruction, accessing community resources, and using data to plan for student's individual needs.
