Explorer Express Newsletter

 

Weatherstone Elementary School (WES) and the WES Parent Teacher Association (PTA) send out a combined newsletter via email, posted on our WES website and social media, and links are sent via SMS messaging.  Please note that if you are not receiving a copy of this newsletter make sure that your contact information is accurate in PowerSchool.  (PowerSchool is the student database that North Carolina uses in all public schools.)

 

If you would like to update your preferred communication methods then please visit the WCPSS website at https://www.wcpss.net/schoolmessenger. The SMS texting feature must be opted-in by texting YES to 67587.

 

WES Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

 

The safety of our students is important to us and we want to thank our Weatherstone Community for following the procedures listed in the link above for Walkers, Carpool, and Bus Riders.

 

  • Please note that as a large elementary school, during arrival and dismissal times, we are unable to accommodate families that park their vehicles and walk up to the front doors.

  • On staggered entry days and on Tuesday, September 6th (for the Kindergarten Social), Kindergarten families may walk their child to class. 

  • Arrival and Dismissal will take a few extra minutes this week so please plan accordingly. 

 

Early Release Day Friday at 1:45pm

 

As a reminder that students will be dismissed at 1:45pm this Friday, September 2.
