5th Grade Recognition Ceremony Tomorrow at 11:00 AM

 

We are looking forward to celebrating this year's 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony, which will be held in-person tomorrow, Friday, June 10th at 11am in the WES Gymnasium.

 

Parking will be limited, and we encourage families to carpool together or walk to school if possible.

 

Media Center Reminders

 

All library books are due back to the library no later than tomorrow.  If you feel your student has lost their library books please pay to replace the book with exact cash or a check made out to Weatherstone. Unfortunately, students will not be able to receive their report cards on Friday until library issues are resolved.   

 

Additionally, all students returning to Weatherstone or another Wake County Public School next year should keep their chromebooks; do not turn them in.  Students who are leaving Wake County are required to turn in chromebooks.  If you have any questions about your child's library book status, please feel free to contact our school media specialist, Heather Whalen, and she will be happy to assist you.

 

Information for Families NOT Returning to WES

 

Weatherstone Elementary will remain a capped school for the 22-23 school year. Due to the class size limitations regulated by the state, we would like to keep a very close eye on our enrollment numbers.

 

If you have a change of address (to another Wake County address, to another NC county, or out of NC) or will not be attending a Wake County public school for 2022-2023 please complete the following online form.

 

Families returning to WES next school year do not need to do anything.

 

Transportation for 2022-23 School Year

 

Any students who are not currently riding a bus and need transportation for next year will need to request transportation through WCPSS. (For example, this could include students who are in Virtual Academy this year or who are moving to Middle School and will need transportation next year). End Of Year Medication Pick Up
 

If your child has medication at school, it must be picked up by an adult on or before Monday, June 13th.  Children are not allowed  take their medication home on the bus.  All unclaimed medication will be discarded on June 20th.  Any questions, please call the front office 919-380-6988.

 

Report Card Pick Up
 

If your child is absent on the last day or school, or if he or she owed the school a library book, the final report card is held in the office for pick up by a parent.  Please stop by the front office between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM during the summer.
