This meeting will be IN PERSON at the school!  We will vote in the new Executive Board, approve the budget, and discuss plans for a PTA social!  All are welcome.  Questions?  Email smolner@gmail.com

 

Field Day

 

All students will have Field Day on Friday, June 3rd. Students should dress appropriately for outdoor physical activity and bring a water bottle. Below is the schedule for the day:

• K-2: 9:30-12:00
• 3-5: 12:30-3:00

 

Virtual Academy students who are attending should make sure they have told their teacher they are coming. K-2 VA students should go through carpool during arrival time (8:45-9:15) and will need to be picked up at school at 12:00. 3-5 VA students need to be dropped off at 12:15 and picked up at 3:00.

 

There are a few more available spots for afternoon volunteers (3rd-5th grades) on the Signupgenius. Thank you in advance. We could not have this fun event without your help!

 

5th Grade Recognition Ceremony

 

This year's 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony will be held in-person on Friday, June 10th at 11am in the WES Gymnasium. 

 

Information for Families NOT Returning to WES

 

Weatherstone Elementary will remain a capped school for the 22-23 school year. Due to the class size limitations regulated by the state, we would like to keep a very close eye on our enrollment numbers.

 

If you have a change of address (to another Wake County address, to another NC county, or out of NC) or will not be attending a Wake County public school for 2022-2023 please complete the following online form.

 

Families returning to WES next school year do not need to do anything.

 

Transportation for 2022-23 School Year

 

Any students who are not currently riding a bus and need transportation for next year will need to request transportation through WCPSS. (For example, this could include students who are in Virtual Academy this year or who are moving to Middle School and will need transportation next year). Thank you to everyone who came out to the WES Showcase!  We hope everyone had a wonderful time despite the weather.  Thank you to everyone who volunteered as we could not have done it without you.  A very special thank you to Shannon Whitson, Beth Weaver, Malia Lang, Meredith Uchida, and Mandy Tarzanin for their work on the Showcase and Penny Wars.

For our PTA to succeed, we need your support and involvement!  We also need members for lots of committees!  We are in need of a Secretary for next year.  We cannot have a PTA without a Secretary.
