All 4/5 Face-to-Face Students Returning Monday, March 15

 

Weatherstone Families,

 

We are excited to welcome back our Face-to-Face 4th and 5th grade students for daily instruction on Monday, March 15. In order to accommodate more students returning to the building daily, we have had to make some changes to our 3-5 Face to Face and Virtual Academy schedules. We wanted to share the updated 3-5 schedules with you.  While no 4/5 students will have to change teachers or teams, some student’s schedules will be adjusted. 

 

Homeroom teachers will also be reaching out next week with more information about specific schedule changes for students. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions.

School Pictures Scheduled

 

Goodnews!  School Picture Day is coming soon.  Don’t miss this opportunity to capture this year’s memory.  Lifetouch will be at our school on the dates listed below.  All Face-to-Face Students will have pictures taken during the school day on March 22nd or 23rd.  

 

Virtual Academy Families are able to schedule appointments to bring your child to the school.  All photos will be taken in the gym.  Students will be screened by staff outside of the gym and will be taken in for their picture and brought back out to their waiting family.

General Notice to Parents Regarding English Language/ ACCESS Testing

 

All students currently designated as English Learners (ELs) will be administered the North Carolina test of English language ability, the ACCESS. 

 

The annual ACCESS testing window is February 22 – April 23, 2021. 

 

SSA Testing

The spring testing window for SSA (Single Subject Acceleration) is open from April 7-28. Families who are interested in pursuing SSA testing can visit the school’s SSA website here for more information. This website has information as well as a Google Form for families to fill out and submit to request SSA testing. Forms for requests are due by March 22.
