Explorer Express for 6/15/20
Final Message from Mr. Chadwick
Good afternoon Explorer Families! As we begin the summer break for our students I wanted to send one final Explorer Express message to our community. While it was definitely not the school year we imagined, our Explorer Family came together to support each other during these unusual times. We want to send a special note of thanks to all of our families, staff and students for all of their collective hard work! Good luck to our 5th Graders going off to middle school
Best wishes on a safe summer to all of our WES Community!
Last Chance to Pick up Student Materials Tomorrow
We have received a lot of questions about an additional time for families to pick up student belongings. We will have a pick up time, tomorrow, Tuesday, 6/16 from 8:30-9:30am.
In Case You Missed It...WES Videos
Over the past few weeks the WES staff created some special messages to the WES Community. Here are links to those videos:
Post it Note Video - Shared during the Live from WES Last Day at School Event on 6/12/20
Live from WES Last Day of School - Live Stream Event from 6/12/20 ( 55 mins long)
A Note to Our Weatherstone Students and Families - Shared originally on 5/15/20
(Please note that the 5th Grade Ceremony videos will be shared with 5th Grade families in a separate email.)
Moving & Enrollment Information
Please know the office staff remain available to answer questions via email and will return voice messages left on at the school. If your family has moved or will be moving during the summer, please contact Mrs. Forman, Data manager, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. She will guide families in providing documents needed to transfer or withdrawal from Weatherstone. Weatherstone remains capped for the 2020-21 school year, therefore, it is important to keep accurate numbers for next year.
Weatherstone Elementary Remote Learning Parent Feedback
As we end the 2019-2020 school year we are gathering feedback from families as we plan for next year. We know North Carolina, the NC Department of Health, and the Department of Public Instruction will be setting many of guidelines for WCPSS and WES for the future. However, we would like to gain feedback for our community as we plan instruction for next year. Thank you for your help!
