Swift Creek Elementary has been named a Green Shield School by The Positivity Project for the 2022-23 school year. Swift Creek Elementary is the only school in Wake County, and one of 11 schools nationwide to have received this prestigious recognition. The exciting news was shared with the entire student body from 9:30-10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16 in the school gym.

Green Shield Schools are recognized for exemplifying character and relationships-driven systems among staff, students, and families – to cultivate lifelong learning and a positive school culture. Swift Creek Elementary participated in an application process driven by six rigorous categories including: Staff Implementation, Student Leadership, Family Engagement, Professional Learning, Positive Climate, and The P2 Movement.
