ACT Test For All Juniors
All juniors are scheduled to take the ACT Test on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 7:25 am. Room assignments will be posted in the building. This will be an asynchronous instructional day, so there will be no other students on campus.
Juniors: Don't forget to create a MyACT account and use your personal code (provided by Mr. Riles in an email and in person on test day - Feb. 23rd), to complete the non-test information. The window to complete the non-test information is from Saturday, February 20, 2021 - March 1, 2021. If you have created a MyACT account but haven't entered your personal code, you must complete this non-test information using your personal code in order to have your scores sent to (up to) four colleges/universities for free. If you have misplaced your code, please contact Mrs. Horton (email@example.com).
The test will be from 7:25 am until 11:25 am (students with the extended time accommodation will have additional time). Most students will complete this exam by 11:25 am.
If you wish to leave campus when testing is completed, please return this signed permission slip to the main office on or before testing day, so you can leave campus once testing is completed. Students must check out in the main office before leaving campus. If a permission slip is not completed, a parent/guardian will need to come in the building to complete the check-out procedure, or the student will remain on campus until the end of the regular school day. If you do not have access to print the form, an email from a parent/guardian granting permission is acceptable. The email needs to contain your name and the date of testing as well as permission. Have a parent/guardian send the email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All social distancing and safety guidelines will be practiced and enforced during the testing session. All testing rooms will contain 10 students or fewer, so we can adequately space out students. All students and staff are required to wear masks while on campus.
Calculators will be available for student use during the test; however, students are permitted to bring their own calculator. Please know that student owned calculators will be cleared before and after testing. In addition, there is a small break (15 minutes) half-way through the test. Students may bring a snack to eat in the cafeteria or designated area during this time.
Breakfast and lunch will be available on testing day. Bussing will also be available for our in-person students. If you are in the virtual academy and are unable to provide transportation to and from the school on testing day, please contact Mr. Riles (email@example.com).
If you have any questions, please contact the testing coordinator, Mrs. Horton (firstname.lastname@example.org)
