Single Subject Acceleration (SSA)

Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) is the practice of assigning a student to a higher-grade level than is typical, given the student’s age, for the purpose of providing access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities in either Math or English Language Arts.

The SSA Parent Test Request Window for year-round schools opened on Monday, February 22, 2021 and closes on Monday, March 22, 2021.  If you would like to learn more about SSA and whether your child might be a good candidate for Single Subject Acceleration but were unable to attend our virtual SSA Parent Information Meeting on Wednesday, March 3rd at 7:00 p.m., a recording of the parent information that was shared is available for you to view at https://youtu.be/e14lcvOhNOI.

Parents who wish to request SSA testing for their child should do so by completing the SSA Test Request for Morrisville between Feb 22nd and March 22nd.  The form will close for responses on March 22nd.  If you have any questions about SSA test requests, please email our school SSA Contact, Christina Heir, at cheir@wcpss.net.
