  • Special Message 9-18-18

Good evening.  This is Rhonda Jones and I am so proud to serve as the principal of Rand Road Elementary School.  After deliberation, it was decided that we will postpone the Rand Road Run until after our track out.  Instead of considering how much fun we will have as a school community, we felt it far more important to consider the needs of others in our state who have suffered so much due to the recent storm.  While many of us lost power and food, people in other parts of our state lost everything, their places of employment, places where they worship, and the schools they attend.  With that being said, we have decided to adopt an elementary school in Wilmington and provide support to them as they begin to recover from the devastation they experienced.  Rand Road is such a caring school community and we believe that we can make the world a better place by showing kindness  as we help others.  Thank you so much and have a great evening.
