  • NC Science Museum Field Trip & Chaperone Information

Posted by Clay Marion on 4/16/2019 4:00:00 PM

    • Busses should arrive at the NC Museum of Science across from the NC Legislative Building around 10:00am tomorrow morning.
    • Busses will depart around 12:00 and return to campus to allow students to get lunch from the cafeteria.

    • You will receive the names of students in your group once you arrive near the front steps of the museum. Chaperones will be responsible for 5-6 students. Students must remain with the assigned chaperone at all times.

    • After signing in, students and chaperones will receive a brief orientation before being assigned a floor to begin the scavenger hunt.

    • Chaperones in Mr. Marion's homeroom and Mr. Clark's homeroom will begin the scavenger hunt on the top floor. Mrs. Laggenbauer's and Mrs. Bass's Chaperones will begin on the bottom floor.

    • A teacher will be stationed on each floor to make sure that students remain with their assigned chaperone during the field trip.  Chaperones should check in with students during the scavenger hunt and be mindful that your assigned group is remaining in the same area, within your sight.

    • Students are encouraged to work together to complete as much of the scavenger hunt as possible. All students are expected to turn their own scavenger hunt in with the answers by the end of the field trip.

    • Please have all students in your group, accounted for and outside at the front steps  of the museum by 11:45. Students must be on the bus by 12:00 to return to campus.

    • Parents planning to check their child out early must speak to their child's homeroom teacher when we arrive at the museum.

Thanks again for volunteering to help with our field trip !
