The Remote Learning Command Center is a hub for families with information on Remote Learning during the 2020-2021 school year.

Getting Started
-
Students must first log in to their WakeID to access the learning. This is very important because they will not be able to access all parts of their instruction or content through a personal google account. How to Log into WakeID
- It is recommended that students use a laptop, chromebook, or home computer. Although a tablet or phone may work for most applications, the smaller size will be difficult for students. Families had the opportunity to request a device to borrow through WCPSS, but may still request a device by contacting the student's TigerDen teacher. Tech services is developing a plan on how to distribut those devices.

Dreambox
Dear Parents:
WCPSS has purchased DreamBox Learning, a K-8 digital math program that independent studies have found to raise student achievement and better prepare children for future success. RBMS was a pilot school the last couple of months we were in session last school year, before we went to remote learning. With the new school year, students have already begun to work in DreamBox weekly on standards they have not met from previous grades, as well as working on ones from their current grade level. This program has an “intelligent adaptive engine” that adjusts to each individual student with support embedded within the rigorous pathway. Students should be completing a MINIMUM of 5 lessons and 60 minutes per week for every math class. Some teachers may be requesting more. Students may find that the weekends, days not used for virtual learning in core classes and electives, are a more productive time for students to increase their time on DreamBox to enable them to close their standard gaps within our 6-8 grade math curriculum.
How to Help:
- Use links below to sign up for your Family Dashboard. This will allow you to see your child’s progress.
- Please make sure that your child is completing 100% of their DreamBox assignment lessons and time usage. They are to meet both requirements, lessons and time.
- Students should not have assistance from anyone, as this will throw the adaptive engine off from the individual child’s pathway.
- With our current state of remote learning, this program will help us keep your child growing as much as possible. Please give us your support, feedback, and questions, as we all strive to educate the students of RBMS.
- Please use the following links below to familiarize yourself with DreamBox.

Estimados padres:
