Make a one-time or recurring donation online. ACH payments have no processing fee. Debit and credit card donations will incur a 2.85% processing fee on the donation amount.

School Meal Donations and the Angel Fund

The Angel Fund helps provide nutritious school meals to students who are unable to pay and have reached their meal charge limit. Donations are managed by Child Nutrition Services and distributed to school cafeterias as needed.

Employee Recognition and Celebration Sponsorships

Support our district in celebrating the educators and staff who help students succeed. We rely on business sponsorships to support Teacher of the Year (TOY), Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year (POY), and the Recognition and Celebration Fund, which honor employees across our district.

Special Education

Your donation helps support students receiving special education services. Donations may fund:

  • Instructional materials
  • Adaptive and assistive resources
  • Enrichment opportunities
  • Other items or services that directly support the educational needs of eligible students

Your support helps students with disabilities engage in learning, build independence, and thrive academically, socially, and functionally.

Tools4Schools

WCPSS contributes $25,000 to support Tools4Schools, a WakeEd Partnership program that provides classroom supplies to educators at no cost.

Through the Tools4Schools free store, eligible educators can select supplies and resources for their classrooms. Community donations help keep the store stocked and extend the impact of the district's contribution.

WAKE Up and Read

WAKE Up and Read is a community coalition working to improve childhood literacy across Wake County.

Its work focuses on:

  • Supporting strong literacy development
  • Increasing access to books and reading opportunities
  • Building community partnerships that help children become successful readers

WAKE Up and Read also supports Pathways to Grade-Level Reading, a communitywide effort focused on helping more children read successfully by the end of third grade.

Other Ways to Give

Donations can be made through direct gifts or in-kind support, and many employers offer matching programs that double the impact of your contribution.

In-kind Gifts

Schools welcome in-kind donations, though needs vary by grade level and available resources. To make a gift, contact the school directly. For additional guidance, see Board Policy 2410: Public Gifts to School.

  • Vehicles: Donated vehicles require a transfer of title, license plate, and insurance coverage, as specified by Risk Management.
  • Chemicals: Only unopened containers are accepted. Donors must provide the principal with an inventory including the name and quantity of each chemical. All containers must be labeled and safety approved.
  • Items Requiring Installation: Gifts that require special installation (e.g., playground equipment) must be approved by the district prior to acceptance.
