Save the date: Family and Community Engagement Summit featuring the State of Schools Address set for March 20 and 21

This year, we are pairing two of our biggest events, our annual Family and Community Engagement Summit and State of the Schools Address. Join us on March 20 and 21 at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High for two days of seminars, engaging professional learning, keynote speakers, and the annual address from our superintendent, Dr. Robert P. 517 educators earn or renew National Board Certification

Find results for your student's fall EOC test in Infinite Campus

Families of students who took the English II, Math 1, Math 3 and/or Biology EOC tests after the fall semester are now able to view their child’s Individual Student Report (ISR) in Infinite Campus. To view your child’s ISR, login to Infinite Campus, click on “More,” then click “Information about North Carolina Individual Score Reports.” Learn more about EOC results.

Board approves new content filtering system

The Board has approved a transition to Lightspeed, a new content filtering system designed specifically for K-12 schools. This change will help us strengthen online safety and better support learning across all grade levels. Join us for a community engagement meeting on Ligon Magnet Middle’s renovation

The district will hold a community engagement meeting regarding the Ligon Magnet Middle renovation project on Feb. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ligon Magnet Middle. During the event, district staff will provide an update on the project, followed by an opportunity to provide input. All community members are welcome to attend, learn, and share feedback on this vital project. Save the date.

We’re excited to launch the 2026 WAKE Up and Read Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader Annual Book Drive! Can we count on you to help ensure children throughout Wake County have access to new or like new, engaging, high-quality books to call their own? Last year, because of the support of our community, our coalition provided more than 71,000 books to 15,000 students. We can’t be successful without literacy champions like you!

Round one of Magnet Mania national voting competition runs Feb. 9 to 12

Help our magnet schools achieve national recognition! Magnet Mania is Magnet Schools of America’s bracket-style District of the Year competition, showcasing districts with exceptional magnet programs. From Feb. 9 to 12, community voting will be open for the first of five rounds in the bracket. Spread the word and vote for our district’s magnet program to move on to the next round. Learn more.
