Student Medication

• Medication must be medically necessary during the school day 
• Form 1702 is required for medication to be administered by school staff OR self-carried/self-administered by the student during the school day  
• School nurses train school staff to administer medication 
• Medication cannot be administered without a completed Form 1702 
• If medication is not available, 911 will be called for emergencies 
• Parent/guardian(s) are responsible for monitoring medication expiration dates and replacing medication as needed
