WCPSS Transportation provides families of students who ride a yellow bus to school with a free tracking system called Here Comes the Bus.

Here Comes the Bus uses GPS data to show your child’s bus location on a map. You can use it on a computer, tablet, or smartphone to see where the bus is and how close it is to your stop.

How to get started

To sign up, you will need:

  • The district code: 67500 (Yellow Bus) or 67501 (Vendor Transportation Services)

  • Your student’s ID number

Visit the Here Comes the Bus sign-up page to create your account.

For smartphones or tablets, download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

Entering your student’s name

When entering your student’s last name:

  • Use the spelling exactly as shown in Campus Parent.

  • Include any hyphens.

  • Only enter the first 18 characters.

For example, if the name is Yellow-School Bus Wake, enter Yellow-School Bus.

Using the app

Once activated, you can:

  • Customize notification settings

  • Adjust how the app communicates with you

  • Change the notification radius

Please note that the app does not track buses between schools or for after-school activities and athletic events.

Support and questions

Sometimes we make bus substitutions for maintenance or staffing. When this happens, some app features may not work.

To access app support, log in and select Help for instructions and resources.
