• Students may earn high school credit for specified courses without spending a set number of hours taking the course in a classroom.

Under the state’s Credit by Demonstrated Mastery (CDM) option, uniquely qualified students may “test out” or bypass a course if they have already mastered the content.

The program provides another opportunity for students to learn new content, to challenge themselves with the next level of rigor in a subject, and even graduate early. This option is not designed to replace existing accelerated pathways, such as the Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) program at WCPSS.
If you are interested in the CDM option for your child, plan to attend one of the following Regional Information Sessions:
November 16 at Enloe High School from 6 PM – 7:30 PM
November 17 at Green Hope High School from 6 PM – 7:30 PM
November 19 at Leesville Road High School from 6 PM – 7:30 PM
November 30 at Knightdale High School from 6 PM – 7:30 PM
Application Deadline (must be submitted at your child's school): December 16, 2015
    Phase I Testing Window: February 1-12, 2016
