Step is a form of tribal dance that originated in Africa in the form of a boot dance. Step is done on college campuses, at high schools, and now in elementary schools. It combines physical activity with chants to form rhythm and music. Stepping is an excellent form of exercise and fosters team work.
Our purpose is to cultivate creativity, team work, commitment and pride in the students while enriching their overall academic experience through integrating the arts with rigorous physical activity and dance.
Step Team meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15 to 5:30.
