SWAG: Students With A Goal
Participants: Girls in grades 3 - 5
SWAG is a volunteer driven afterschool program for students in grades 3-5. It has been part of the Creech Road Elementary landscape for three years. Over one hundred students have been part of the program. It started out as a program for young ladies, and we are looking to expand to include young men. The purpose of SWAG is to challenge students to improve academically, physically, and socially. Students work with mentors weekly to develop a relationship that foster trust and encouragement. The whole school community from custodians, cafeteria staff, teachers, community stakeholders to the receptionist are involved in developing students to be engaged, productive citizens of the future.
SWAG meets Wednesdays after school until 5:45
