Welcome to the 2018-2019 Registration Process for Athens Drive Magnet High School. Please make sure that you take advantage of the resources that are provided here. On this site you will find information about course selections, sequencing of courses and general recommendations for assisting you in making selections. You can access these resources using the links on the left sidebar. Also, please take a few minutes to watch the videos that expain the process for Claiming Your NCEDCloud Account and for Selecting courses.
REGISTRATION TIMELINE FOR 2018-2019
By February 16, 2018: Teachers will have all recommendations for students
February 20, 2018: Students receive registration materials in Drive Time
February 22-March 7, 2018: Counselors will meet individually with 11th graders for registration and academic planning.
March 1, 2018: Rising Freshman Open House & Curriculum Fair for Rising 10th-12th Graders and Parents
March 19-April 9th: Counselors meet individually with 10th grade students
April 9th-April 26th: Counselors meet with 9th graders in groups to sign up for classes. These sessions will take place in either the library or computer lab based on their 2nd period class. 2nd period teachers have a copy of this schedule
April 17, 2018: Students will receive verification of course registration for 2018-2019.
April 14, 2018: Students return verification sheets to Drive Time Teacher with a signature from the parent and student verifying that these are the courses that students will take. Students will not be allowed to change these courses
May: School Assignment Notices for 2018-2019 go home
First week in August 2018: Schedule adjustment period for students
August 27, 2018: First day of school
September 6, 2018: There are no more schedule changes after this date
Registration for Current Athens Students for 2018-2019 will take place on Powerschool on the following schedule:
- Rising Seniors: February 22, 2018 - March 7, 2018
- Rising Sophomores and Juniors: March 9, 2018 - March 29, 2018
To register your student at ADHS you must schedule a registration meeting. Registration appointments are available Tuesdays & Thursdays only 8 AM-1:00 PM Parents must bring the following documentation to complete the registration process:
- A certified copy of your child's birth certificate
Proof of your Wake County address (current water, gas, or electric bill in parent's name that is no more than 60 days old, newly signed lease, or offer to purchase agreement*)
A photo ID of the parent or guardian
Your child's immunization record
Any custody documents
Previous school records (transcript/report cards, IEP, 504 plans)
