    Upcoming Dates
    • Wednesday, August 21st - Popsicles on the Playground 
      • This event will take place on the front Hunter Playground on Wednesday, August 21st from 2:30 - 3:30 pm and is for families who are new to Hunter.  As a part of our time together, students will enjoy popsicles, meet with staff from their respective grade levels, and will have a chance to connect with new friends.  Parents will have a chance to join the PTA, purchase PTA Hunter merchandise, sign up for carpool / walker privileges, and get to know what is in store for the upcoming school year.  We will even have a yellow school bus on site for our younger students who would like to try getting on the school bus for the very first time!  
    • Friday, August 23rd - Drop In to "Meet the Teacher"

      • 2:30 - 4:00 - Drop in to meet your teacher!  After meeting your teachers, please join us in the Hunter Cafeteria for an Ice Cream Social hosted by our Hunter PTA!  This is an informal event, and we invite families to "drop in" as they are able.
    • Monday, August 26th - First Day of School for students in first through fifth grades"
      • First Bell Rings at 8:45 am, and the tardy bell rings at 9:15 am  
      • Students are dismissed at 3:45 pm
    • Monday August 26th - Thursday, August 29th - Kindergarten Staggered Entry
      • For staggered entry, Kindergarten students will come to school for just one day.  This allows the students to acclimate to schoolin a smaller group, and it allows for our teachers to assess students' social, physical, and academic needs.  For a kindergarten student's staggered entry day, the kindergartener may ride the bus or may come through carpool, and the student will be at school for normal hours from 8:45 until 3:45 pm.  Kindergarten students may bring a lunch or they may purchase a lunch in the cafeteria.  
    • Friday, August 30th  - Kindergarten "Meet the Teacher," Families may "drop in" from 11:30am - 12:30 pm.
