• Parking Lines
Student Drivers:  Students must get a parking pass from Mrs. Rue by turning in a copy of their valid NC Driver’s license, a copy of their proof of insurance, which includes the student that will be driving and the matching license plate for the car they will be driving. Please see Mrs. Rue for the necessary forms to complete to gain a parking pass.
Juniors Driving:  Juniors must submit the form that is on the STEM ECHS website with all the required information accepting the terms of the privilege of driving to and from school. Students will then be issued a parking tag that MUST be hung from their mirror whenever they are on campus. Juniors will be allotted parking spaces in the parking lot located 0.2 miles northeast of the Cherry Building off Barbour Drive. You are not allowed to park in the visitors parking spaces to the right of the Cherry Building, nor the staff parking spaces in front of the Cherry Building.
Senior Driving:  Seniors who choose to drive to the Cherry Building only, will follow the expectations set forth for Juniors. Please note that the last bus from NCSU to the Cherry Building leaves Witherspoon at 2:05pm, so if you have classes at NCSU which run past this time, you must find your own way to your vehicle. Seniors have the option of purchasing a parking pass from NCSU and parking in the Varsity lot. Upon parking, students are expected to ride the Wolfline Transportation to the campus for their classes.
Student Driver Behavior:  Student drivers are to behave in a responsible manner when operating a vehicle. If a teacher or staff member witnesses any reckless acts of any student driver, the student’s parking pass can be revoked, immediately. Student drivers are not allowed to loiter in the parking lot after school is over. Students are to be off campus by 2:30pm if they are not staying for any afterschool activities.

    Parking at NCSU

Parking passes can be purchased directly through the NC State Transportation website beginning on July 13th at 8:00 am.  Please note that you are only eligible to purchase Varsity Lot passes as an ECHS student.  Please do not try to purchase another type of parking pass (they cost more anyways) as you will not be able to use any other pass besides Varsity Lot passes.  The Varsity Lot is located here:  https://www.google.com/maps/place/NCSU+Varsity+Lot/@35.779693,-78.684901,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x89acf5a376a4a749:0xbe1c1071e552b344.

The link to purchase your pass is here:  https://ncsu.aimsparking.com/.
You will need to select "Employee or Student Permits," enter in your unity ID and password, and then select the "V - Varsity Lot (Commuters Only)" pass.  The system will not let you do this before July 13th at 8:00 am.  When going through the purchase process, the system will ask for an address (under the "shipping address" tab) in which to send the permits.  Please use an accurate address where you actually receive mail, as the passes are typically mailed out within a week of ordering them.  You will need to have the parking pass on the front windshield (lower passenger side corner) before coming to campus on August 8th.
    Parking August 8 - 16:
During your first week back to school (as well as Monday, August 14th), Varsity Lot will not have a Wolfline route running from that lot, meaning that we need you to park somewhere else during this time.  I have worked closely with transportation, who is willing to allow you to park in the West Deck from August 8th through August 16th.  The location of the West Deck can be found here:  https://www.google.com/maps/place/West+Deck+Parking+Lot/@35.7837443,-78.681795,17z/data=!4m5!1m2!2m1!1swest+deck!3m1!1s0x0:0x6566e7c9653a19dd.
Please keep in mind that you will need to allow yourself enough time to walk from the West Deck and arrive at the First Year Commons by 7:25 am (or you will be considered tardy for your high school class).  According to Google Maps, that walk takes about 10 minutes.
Beginning on Tuesday, August 15th, you will need to start parking in the Varsity Lot and riding the Wolfline to class.  We will review the bus schedule in more detail during your first week back.
