Student Ambassador Information
Becoming a student Ambassador is a great opportunity to serve as a student leader for Carnage Magnet Middle School.
Benefits:
Rewarding; leadership skill-building; gain experience in problem solving, presentations, and communications; meet new people; attend exciting campus events; develop connections with future Carnage Magnet Middle School students, administrators, faculty, staff, and parents.
Examples of Responsibilities:
Participate in middle school recruitment events and new student orientations; assist with the planning and implementation of welcome days, recruiting events, and other campus events; assist with campus tours.
Qualifications:
Have at least an overall “B” average, with NO failing classes.
Good standing with school behavior rules (no ICS, ISS, OSS or repeat lunch detentions)
Good attendance
Possess great communication skills
Positive attitude toward school and especially Carnage Magnet Middle School and the Magnet program
Must be a 7th or 8th grade student.
Application Process:
All students interested in being a part of the Student Ambassador Program must submit an application, which can be found on the Carnage website www.carnagems.wcpss.net under Magnet Program or obtained in the front office. All applicants must also have two reference forms completed by teachers or other adults (see application form for details on this)

About our Programs:
The Gifted and Talented (GT) Pathway includes some of the district's oldest and most popular programs. It is rooted in the belief that every student has gifts and talents to be valued and nurtured. To that end, students in the GT pathway explore a wide variety of subjects through core subjects and an extensive menu of elective courses that develop strengths and interests. Students have the opportunity to customize their academic programs by choosing elective courses according to their academic needs and interests. Check out our elective course guide for a list of our elective classes!Students in the AIG (Academically & Intellectually Gifted) Basics Program are grouped with other AIG identified students for core classes according to their individual qualifications.How to Apply:
