• From Ms. Cicco...

Posted by Andrew Trbovich on 3/26/2020
    Good Morning!

The healthful living department is very excited to have Joe Pettiford back with us at Durant! We need your help though in welcoming him to our students. Pettiford has been working hard to create his website to welcome his new students and meet them virtually when we track in on April 23. Could you please send the following message out in your newsletters/email blasts to help the students meet Mr. Pettiford and connect with him so they can jump right into learning in April:

"Attention all students who had Mr. Jones  and Mr. Gold for healthful living this year. You will be able to meet your new healthful living teacher, Mr. Pettiford, virtually when we track in on April 23rd. Mr. Pettiford is excited to return to Durant (he worked here from 2008-2012) and end the school year with you. To help make sure you are ready for learning on April 23rd, please go to Mr. Pettiford's website to access important information in regards to communication and learning. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to any healthful living teacher: Trina Cicco-tcicco@wcpss.net; Matt Mauder-mmauder@wcpss.net; Cathy Stone-cstone@wcpss.net."

Thank you so much for your help with this!!

    Stay active & well!

    Families, please read below:

Spotted Dolphin letter to 7th Grade Families

Posted by Andrew Trbovich on 3/5/2020
The DRMS Science and Social Studies departments will be hosting a joint curriculum night on Thursday March 26, 2020 from 6-7 p.m. This is a great opportunity to get an idea of what is going on in our Science and Social Studies classes. Teachers will demonstrate mini labs and how they use digital breakouts to enhance learning. There are guest speakers including the History Department Chair from Millbrook High School to discuss the new history graduation requirements, and the Wake County Board of Elections will be present to register voters. We look forward to seeing many of our DRMS families as this event. We invite you to RSVP for this event by clicking here
