Overview for Return to In-Person Instruction
As you prepare for returning to campus for in-person learning, please reference WCPSS's Return to Campus Checklist for helpful links, information, and required forms.
For information specific to Green Level, click on each topic listed in the left navigation pane of this page.
If you have any questions after reading the information below, please reach out to us using the "Contact Us" link HERE.
Below are additional tips to ensure your return to campus is safe and successful:
As you arrive at the main entrance of the school, please use both lanes. Staff members will be waiting in both lanes, ready to complete the screening process. Students should remain in the car until they have passed the health screening questions and temperature check. Students may require multiple screenings because of false readings due to their vehicle's heater. Hint: Turn off the heater in your vehicle while in line.
One thing we forgot over the last eleven months, GLHS students are compliant. On Wednesday, our students were asked to proceed directly outside if their parents were in the carpool line. Students whose parents were not on campus sat in the commons and waited for their parents to notify them of their arrival. The students never congregated inside or outside and proceeded directly to their ride. With that said, please do not worry about distributing additional carpool tags moving forward. Students can hold onto the tags, and if we need to change directions and use the tags in the future, we can.
In order to drive/park on campus, all students are required to have a GLHS student hang tag visible in their assigned parking space. If you are interested in obtaining a parking space please use this link HERE.
We know that students will be excited to see their friends and teachers. Please be cognizant of social distancing and refrain from hugging/touching each other.
We are encouraging all students to bring their personal devices to campus; including a charger.
Not Feeling Well:
We know everyone is excited to return to campus. It is critical that students who are sick or not feeling well stay at home.
Masks and Other Health/Safety Procedures:
In order to maintain a safe school environment, it is mandatory for all students to appropriately wear masks and follow health and safety procedures. This is non-negotiable and can result in a student being removed from the in-person learning environment to virtual academy.
Every student can eat a free breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria for the remainder of the year. If you do not want to take advantage of this, please bring your own lunch. Food Delivery is not an option at this time. We are also encouraging students to bring their own water bottles since water fountains are not in use.

Beginning February 18, Connectivity will move from the afternoon time slots to 8:45 am to 9:35 am. A complete list of clubs/organizations offered at GLHS can be found HERE. As a reminder, students must register for all Connectivity sessions in AllTimely to access the meeting links.
