I was born and raised in New Jersey. In 2007, I was offered a teaching position at Baucom ES in Apex, NC. I decided to accept the offer make NC my new home! The 20-21 school year will be my 17th year of teaching. Building relationships with students and seeing them blossom are a couple reasons why I love my job. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and dog.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA and moved to North Carolina 23 years ago. I have been teaching for 25 years. I've taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade and did reading intervention for 4 years. I enjoy anything outdoors including running, swimming, hiking and I love to travel. I also enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with my husband of 19 years.
I graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, ESOL and Reading and a minor in Exceptional Student Education. I began teaching in Wake County 10 years ago teaching Fifth Grade and found my true love of teaching in First Grade. I love teaching, and truly can't imagine doing anything else! It is amazing to see the “lightbulb” moments that students have throughout the school year as they discover and explore their abilities and strengths, and I love being a part of that process. I am thrilled to be a part of this school and cannot wait to see what the future holds for me and my students at South Lakes Elementary!
Originally from MA (Go Pats and Red Sox!), have taught 24 years at FVES, married with 2 daughters and 2 dogs, love to spend time with family and friends especially at our beach house, love to take naps.
I enjoy walking, trying new restaurants, and reading on my back porch!
I have always been a person who had to stay busy. When I got off the school bus, I ran up the long driveway every day! While watching TV as a child I had to keep my hands busy, usually embroidering. New Paltz, NY was a fabulous place to grow up, as well as, a great place to raise my three children. I have an AAS Degree in restaurant management and have been in the food service industry most of my life. After being very involved in my children’s education, they graduated from college, left home and I realized that I wanted to help guide other children towards independence and success. I earned my TA Certification and became a 1:1 aide to a ten-year old autistic boy for 2 years (a very successful relationship) and a general education TA for one year before moving to North Carolina this August. Currently I am enjoying spending time with my one-year old grandson. They don’t get any sweeter than he is!
My name is Paige Kuppler and I have been married for 28 years. I have 2 children. Alexander is 26 and Claire is 25. We love to travel and spending time with family. I have worked in the school system for 20 years. I started as a volunteer when my son started kindergarten then subbed for a few years then took a permanent job as a TA/bus driver.
