Hello!! My name is Jenelle Lelito and I am very excited to be part of the South Lakes team! I have been teaching for 3 years and truly believe it is the best job in the world. My passion is Kindergarten because I get to see them grow and develop their own personality. They spend the day having new experiences that creates a spark for learning! I attended UNCW and left the beach after graduation to come home to Raleigh. My husband is a huge NC State fan, so by default I am as well! We got married in April and I will slowly be transitioning to Mrs.Brownlee this year. We have a very special dog that reminds me of my love for animal rescue. In my free time I enjoy doing DIY projects and being creative with decorating our house. I can’t wait to meet everyone this year! See you at the lake!
My name is Tricia McKay and I’m so excited to be a South Lakes Sea Turtle! I was born and raised in the small town of Romeo, Michigan. I attended Western Michigan University (Go Broncos!) and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Teaching children and helping them grow to their potential has always been my passion. I moved to North Carolina in 2005 and taught 2nd grade for several years at Davis Drive Elementary in Cary. I took some time off to raise my two wonderful daughters, Riley and Cailyn, before I decided to go back to work as an instructional assistant at Fuquay Varina Elementary School. I am TURTLEY excited to be back in the classroom as a kindergarten teacher this year. In my free time I love to travel to new places with my husband and children, craft, do puzzles, watch movies and shop. I’m excited to be part of SLES and I can’t wait to swim along with this amazing South Lakes family!
This is my second year teaching in Wake County. I am from Godwin, North Carolina. I became an educator because I always had a passion for working with kids. I started off in the medical field as an EMT and combat medic in the Army. When I transitioned over to teaching, I knew it was one of the many reasons God put me on this earth. I believe that every child matters and it is up to us, as educators to make sure they know that every day.
I was born in Michigan but mostly grew up in Western Pennsylvania. I've lived in North Carolina since 1997. We moved here from Florida after my husband served in the USAF. We have one daughter who is finishing up college in Greensboro We love to travel whether it is in the USA or overseas. I enjoy all types of crafting including painting, cross-stitch and pottery. I've been an Instructional Assistant for 16 years, including Special Education, First grade, Kindergarten and 1:1. I'm looking forward to starting a new school and assisting students to be the best they can be.
I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico.
