    Planning for 20-21

At this time, we are planning for opening under a hybrid model of instruction, using both in-person and virtual learning. All students will follow the Track 4 calendar. Using this model, students will be divided into three groups and rotate between in-person and virtual learning. Parents may also choose to enroll their child(ren) in the WCPSS Virtual Academy, a fully online instructional program.

WCPSS has created a downloadable guide to help families understand the plans for the fall. Download the WCPSS Return-to-Campus Guide here.

School will begin the week of August 17. The first two weeks will be and orientation period where Group 1 will attend on Monday, Group 2 will attend on Wednesday, and Group 3 will attend on Friday. The 3-rotation model will begin the week of August 31.

    WCPSS Virtual Academy

More information about the Virtual Academy can be found here. Registration will be July 10 - July 20.

    Track Assignments for New Students

Track assignment letters for new 20-21 students were mailed on May 26. As of 7/6/2020, track assignments will not be issued to new students until it is determined we will move back to a multi-track system for the 20-21 school year. Though we will follow the single-track T4 schedule while we use hybrid or virtual instruction, students maintain their pre-existing track assignment. Questions about track assignments should be directed to Mark Flynn, our Student Information Data Manager, at mflynn2@wcpss.net.

    Class/Teacher Assignments

Teacher assignments will be made once registration for the Virtual Academy and group assignments have been made. It is anticipated that class lists wil be made in early August. Some BCES teachers will be teaching in the Virtual Academy while others teach in the hybrid model. Parents should be aware that classes and teachers WILL change should we move back to fully in-person learning across 4 calendars during the school year.
