    NC Science Olympiad

    Middle Creek Elementary has a long history with the North Carolina Science Olympiad Organization.  In fact, MCES has won many team trophies and individual medals throughout the years.  As we launch the 2017 MCES-SO Program, we invite all 3rd - 5th graders to sign-up and go for the gold.     Spelling Bee

     
    The classroom Spelling Bee study words were sent home by the teacher earlier this year. Each class Spelling Bee will begin with grade level words and move to a higher level if necessary. The following is the recommended range of study words for each grade:
     
    1st- fit-fuddy-duddy
    2nd- ivy-prevented
    3rd- paint-voyage
    4th- smirk-gymnastics
    5th- hooves-tortoise
     
    Parents may create free word club accounts. Visit spellingbee.com, click on Word Club and create an account.
     
    One winner per class will complete in the school Spelling Bee on Saturday, December 3rd at 1:00 pm. Everyone is invited to cheer on the spellers! If the class winner cannot attend, the alternate speller will participate.
     
    The MCES Champion will recieve a trophy and other prizes and advance to the PAGE of Wake County Regional Spelling Bee, date to be announced, at the McKimmon Center. The Regional Champion will advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May in Washington D.C.
